Animation

Back in 1993 I saw Jurassic Park, and I will never forget the first animated shot in the film where a fully grown brachiosaurus walks over the hill. As a big fan of dinosaurs and animals in general, I can safely say that seeing the biggest animal ever to walk on land as if it were real was the defining point in my decision to become an animator.

Animation is a way of making fantasy into reality that no other medium can do so well. It is highly unlikely that any feature film you have seen in the past two or three years has not had an animated element, even if it isn't noticeable. Animation is a way for me to make films that are not constrained by the boundries of reality, and I hope to be making them for the rest of my life.

In this section you can view some of my animated films and see the research and development involved in creating them.
