Owen Rixon graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2009 with a degree in Animation. During his time at college he made his degree film “Welcome to Twister” which was well received by audiences and is currently working its way around the festival circuit.
At college Owen worked with a number of talented film makers, animating for films by award winning directors Jamie Stone and Johanna Wagner, and production designing for a film by first-time director Reeve Rixon. In his spare time he has exhibited and sold paintings in various galleries around Scotland.
Since graduating, Owen has been working on live action films as an animator, concept artist, production designer and digital effects artist. He has also contributed to a range of projects with award winning animator Iain Gardner, and on planning and developing more of his own short films.
